Most series are short. Counting what we cover, 170 series have five episodes, five have ten, three have fifteen and three have six; the remaining six run seven, eight or nine episodes, or go long, like the 34-episode My Bestie Betrayed Me and the 35-episode Yes Ma’am. Candy does not publish episode runtimes, so we cannot say how many minutes a series takes, only how many episodes.

A few series go on for much longer, and they are the ones worth knowing before you start:

• Yes Ma’am: 35 episodes on a military base, where a recruit is claimed by a commanding officer with a very powerful husband.
• My Bestie Betrayed Me: 34 episodes that start with a double betrayal and turn into a long campaign.
• Mona’s Worst Enemy: 15 episodes of two people forced to share a house who cannot stand each other.

Simona Rossi: Wrong But Right also runs 15 episodes, and it is the one longer series that gives you three free episodes instead of two.

What a complete series costs in tokens

Take two ends of the range. Couples Therapy With Margot Vey has five episodes, two of them free, then 12 tokens each, so it costs 36 tokens to finish. Yes Ma’am has the same two free episodes, then 12 tokens for every episode after them, which comes to 396 tokens. My Bestie Betrayed Me works out to 384 tokens and Mona’s Worst Enemy to 156. The arithmetic is always the same: count the episodes after the free ones and multiply by the per-episode price. That is also why the episode count matters more for your wallet than for your evening, since Candy gives no runtimes to plan around.

Not every series charges 12 tokens. A smaller group charges 30 tokens per paid episode, which puts a five-episode series at 90 tokens to finish. Members-only Spicy series are different again: they need Premium from Episode 1, then cost 30 or 50 tokens per episode after two free ones. Tori’s Broken Vows, at ten episodes, takes 240 tokens to finish.

The cheap way to watch a full series

Treat the free episodes as the audition and the token price as the ticket. Start with a short public series, since a five-episode title at 12 tokens an episode is 36 tokens in total. That fits inside one month of the 100 tokens that every Premium plan includes. Even a 30-token series, at 90 tokens to finish, fits inside that one month.

Tokens spent across three half-watched stories buy you three open loops and no endings, while the same tokens spent on one short series buy a complete story. A five-episode series is a natural first pick, because there is very little distance between the free episodes and the end.
