What They Don’t Know: The Neighbors, the Open Door and a Private Club

What They Don’t Know starts with an open door

Theo has been dreaming about his neighbors, a pair who live next door with a dark, gothic look. Then the dreams stop being private. First the neighbors make an odd request involving Theo’s front door and a night spent with it standing open, and from there the story moves from fantasy toward the real thing. Later, with his wife now part of the picture, an invitation goes out for an evening at a private club, which tells you the premise has far outgrown a late-night favor.

That is the appeal of What They Don’t Know: a quiet street, a married man, a pair of neighbors and a great deal left unsaid, which is what the title promises. The lead is Sp00kybby, who has her own character page. All characters are adults, and the series is on the Spicy shelf, Candy’s label for its most adult titles.

What does it take to watch What They Don’t Know?

No. It is members-only, which means Premium is required before Episode 1 will play. Once you are a member, Episodes 1 and 2 cost 0 tokens, and the six later episodes cost 30 tokens each.

That adds up to 180 tokens to finish eight episodes. A Premium month includes 100 tokens, so you are looking at nearly two months of allowance to see the end. The yearly plan has the lowest monthly rate on the pricing page, if you are weighing the cost. Is it worth it? If you are already a member, the first two episodes are free to try, and you can decide from there. If you are not, the price of entry is a plan plus tokens, so think about sampling first.

How can you try the style for free?

The free route is a public series with Sp00kybby in the cast. My Goth Stepsister has Episode 1 with no sign-up, Episode 2 with a free account and 12 tokens per paid episode, which means 36 tokens to finish. Pine Ridge: Hidden Secrets is another public series with her in the cast, set at a strict college, and at the same 36 tokens to finish.

If those suit you and you do hold Premium, Stepsister’s Dirty Deal is a members-only, seven-episode Sp00kybby series that costs 150 tokens to finish. For a ten-episode Premium alternative with a very different setting, look at Tori’s Broken Vows. Need an overview first? Open the Spicy series page or the full list.

Is it right for you?

It fits viewers who like a story where the temptation lives next door and the plot escalates fast. The jump from a dream to an open door to a club invitation keeps the pace up across eight episodes. It is less suited to anyone who wants a short, cheap watch, because 180 tokens is a heavier bill than the 36 tokens a typical public series costs.
