Dad’s New Girlfriend: A Slow-Burn Candy Short With Colette

What Dad’s New Girlfriend is about

Some houseguests are easy to ignore. Colette is not one of them. In Dad’s New Girlfriend she is your father’s girlfriend, easygoing and magnetic, and the chemistry between the two of you is the thing nobody mentions. Every shared glance becomes a quiet argument with yourself about where the line sits. All characters are adults.

It is the calmer end of the catalog: a slow-burn attraction inside one family setup rather than a pursuit. Candy tags it Taboo, and Colette Ramsey is the listed cast. At six episodes it runs one longer than the five that most series on Candy Shorts get.

How much of Dad’s New Girlfriend is free?

The first two episodes are. Episode 1 plays with no sign-up. Episode 2 opens with a free Candy account. From Episode 3 on, every episode costs 12 tokens. The guide to watching Candy Shorts free shows where each step happens. The legitimate version plays on candy.ai and nowhere else.

Why the slow burn is the selling point

Most of Candy’s catalog moves fast. Dad’s New Girlfriend, going by its description, takes the opposite approach: it lets the attraction sit in plain view and asks how long anyone can pretend it is not there. Six episodes give that idea room to breathe, and the sixth does real work, since an extra chapter costs only one more 12-token episode compared with a five-episode series.

The slow pace also makes it a good test of whether you like Colette Ramsey as a lead. She appears in other series that Candy lists, so a liking for this one gives you a ready-made watchlist. Candy does not publish episode summaries, so the free pair is the sample: if two episodes in you are still curious where the line ends up, the remaining four are worth the tokens.

Six episodes, 48 tokens: what finishing costs

The paid stretch is Episodes 3 to 6, which comes to 48 tokens, well under half of the 100 a Premium month includes. Candy does not publish runtimes, so we will not guess at length. If you go Premium, the plans renew automatically until cancelled in settings; the pricing page shows the options and their rates.

Who it suits, our verdict and what to watch next

Choose it if you prefer tension to pursuit, and want a lead you can follow afterward: Colette Ramsey’s profile lists her other series. Skip it if you want a fast chase, a twisty plot or a big ensemble.

Our honest take: it is a restrained, well-focused setup. Because Candy lists a single synopsis and no episode details, the best test is the free pair, and they will tell you inside two episodes whether the slow burn works for you.
